How to remove burning bush (Euonymus alatus)

Hand-pull small plants by the base when the ground is soft, getting the whole root; use a weed wrench on bigger ones. Or cut it and either wrap the stump tightly in burlap or thick plastic, or apply glyphosate to the stump within an hour of cutting about 4 inches up. Follow the label; some herbicide use in Vermont needs an Agency of Agriculture certification.
