Privacy Policy — PlantLegit app

Effective October 14, 2026. The PlantLegit app for iPhone and Android is published by Virginia State Home Inspections LLC (“VSHI”, “we”), Virginia Beach, Virginia.

Short version

The app does not collect, transmit or sell any personal information. There are no accounts, no ads, no analytics, no tracking and no in-app purchases.

What stays on your device

When the app uses the internet

The app works fully offline. If you tap a source link (for example, a state regulation or USDA page), it opens in your device’s web browser, and that website’s own privacy policy applies. If you use Share, the text you share goes to the app you choose, under that app’s policy.

Permissions

Location is optional. Only if you tap “Use my location” does the app ask for permission to read your approximate location, once. It is used on your device to find the nearest ZIP code and its hardiness zone, and is not stored, logged, or sent to us or anyone else. You can always type a ZIP instead, and you can revoke the permission in your device settings. The app does not request camera, contacts, photos, microphone or notification permissions.

Children

The app is suitable for general audiences and does not knowingly collect information from anyone, including children under 13.

If this policy changes, we will update it in the app and on plantlegit.com with a new effective date.
